The Benefits Of Easton Bats
A company in Van Nuys, California called Easton-Bell began manufacturing Easton bats in the 70s, and today they make a large variety of composite, aluminum, alloy and wooden bats.
Easton now makes a wide range of bat styles and specifications that help batters of all skill levels.
They are an industry leader and have done the necessary investment in technology and research to make bats that help players improve their performance.
Some of the new technologies are Connexion technology, integrated matrix technology (commonly called IMX) and carbon nanotube technologies (called CNT).
The CNT (carbon nanotube technology) makes Easton´s proprietary resin system even better than it was. CNT makes the handle much more durable than in prior years. Connexion technology creates an efficient transfer of energy in the bat that goes from the handle to the barrel.
The integrated matrix technology (imx) is how Easton strengthens the composite bat line structure. Aerospace grade fibers are angled along the barrel in order to not only strengthen the bat, but increase the hitting area. Vibration is reduced to a minimum with this IMX technology.
In addition to the new bat technology they have introduced, Easton bats are also made as composite bat, aluminum/alloy and wood.
There are two composite bat lines at Easton. One is called the Stealth IMX and the other is called the Synergy IMX. The Stealth IMX for 2010 has increased handle flex over prior models. They also make two other youth models called the Power Hitter and the LCN11.
The Synergy and the Stealth are two of the most popular composite bats on the market from youth to college age.
A hybrid bat is one that has a composite handle and and alloy barrel. Easton makes a hybrid bat called the SV12. The SV12 has more handle flex than the Stealth IMX.
The v12 model is a one piece, 100% alloy bat and is the stiffest handle bat among all the Easton bats.
Easton also makes other 100% alloy bats. The Stealth CNT is one and comes with either a flex or a stiff handle. The Stealth CNT is the alloy bat that most baseball players prefer and is known to be the best of the 100% alloy bats.
Easton is well known for using high tech materials and manufacturing to create their bats, and something you should know is that while most manufacturers claim to have a sweet spot, Easton bats produce performance along the whole length of the barrel, not just a sweet spot. You could say the whole barrel is a sweet spot!
On their Stealth Speed line, Easton´s new manufacturing has allowed them to reduce the mass in the barrel, which means a lighter MOI. This makes the player´s swing even faster.
One of their newest bats is called the Easton stealth speed XL which boasts the longest barrel, lightest weight and fastest swing of any bat in the entire little league industry.
