How to make a tote bag?
I really want a tote bag and I could go out and buy one, but I thought it would be fun to make some at a sleepover I'm having. I'm 12, but my mom will be there so it doesn't need to be really child friendly. I also have a sewing machine too.
Any ideas for how to make a cute one?
And also... would the tote bag hold books and things, because I actually need to use it for school.

Glad to hear you have a sewing machine. Cut out the material to the size you want the bag to be. Cut 2 pieces. Cut two pieces of material to go from your shoulder around the tote and back up to your shoulder. Use your imagination for the color of the bag and perhaps an offsetting color for the strap.
