What do all the credit card statuses mean? Diamond Preferred, Platinum Select, Silver, what's the difference?
For 99% of the credit cards they are just marketing terms. That is a Platinum card may give you other features that a "regular" card did not. There used to be a time when Platium meant higher limits and better terms. But a lot of companies now have Platimum cards with limits as low as $500.
The only company that seems to keep this status is American Express, where these different terms actually seem to still mean something.
