Boston dominating in football and baseball?
Red Sox have the best record in the league, looking pretty domitable right now. Very efficient, lots of home runs, Daisuke pretty much living up to the hype, Papelbon dangling the ball, and their record against the Yanks is 5-1.
Patriots have had the best off season by far of any NFL team out there. Suddenly Tom Brady has an elite recieving corps, and when you think about what he did in the past without them, and what he has the potential to do, it is frightening. Pro Bowler Adalius Thomas and S Brandon Merriweather along with Wes Welker bring depth to the team, and the Patriots have the best young running back in the league in Lawrence Maroney. On offense, who can stop them? On defense who can get past them?
I agree with you that the Pats look pretty much unbeatable on paper right now. As long as they stay healthy, which is a huge concern in the NFL, I don't see anyone stopping them from winning it all.
As for baseball, Daisuke has looked very vulnerable against good lineups and he walks far too many people. He may have too many pitches and I would not crown him yet they did pay a boat load for him and his numbers currently don't match his paycheck or the Sabeau Lions check for that matter.
The reason their record is so good is precisely because they got the yanks when they have no healthy starting pitching.
Other than that baseball is a marathon but I can see Boston dominating both if they sure up there bullpen ahead of Papelbon and their defense is really shaky at times, but who wants to face Schilling, Beckett, Dice K, and Lester in a playoff series with Papelbon closing... SCARY!!!
