What do you think about the Rays sending Evan Longoria back to the Minors?
I was pretty surprised...what do other baseball fans think about this?

I wasn't very surprised, although I'm not sure it is a smart idea.
Longoria won't be able to be eligible for free agency until 2014, so at least they keep him around for an extra year. I'm sure money played a factor in it as well. But, the Rays are really attempting to make Longoria a clone of Ryan Braun, meaning he'll get called up in the middle of the season (like Braun) and hopefully put up fantastic numbers.
